The Bulgarian Parliament voted to accept the Government’s resignation on 24th of July 2014.
180 MPs voted ‘in favour’, 8 voted ‘against’ and 8 ‘abstained’.
The Press Secretariat of the Head of State announced that President Rosen Plevneliev was ready to convene consultations with the parliamentary political parties immediately after the Parliament votes on the resignation of the cabinet of Plamen Oresharski.
The procedure under the Constitution will be discussed today in order to fulfill the requirement of the Basic law for making an attempt to form a government within this National Assembly.
The government’s resignation was handed in the Registrar’s Office of the National Assembly, a minute before the end of the working day on 23rd of July.
