Bulgaria’s PM Borissov is in Germany at the invitation of Christian Social Union

Bulgaria’s Prime Minister and leader of GERB Party will participate in a meeting of MPs from the ruling Christian Social Union in Germany on September 3.

He is in Germany at the invitation of the President of the Christian Social Union.

Boyko Borissov will be a guest of honour at the forum, which will outline the party programme for the new political season.

Guests of honours at such meetings so far have been the Chancellor of Germany, the former Prime Minister of Great Britain, and the Prime Ministers of Ireland and Hungary.

The topics to be discussed at the meeting are relations between Bulgaria and Germany, as well as issues related to common European policies and the new composition of the European institutions.

The meeting in Berlin is important, because on September 20, the federal government is to make specific decisions related to dealing with climate change, which will affect every citizen of the Federal Republic. Therefore, representatives of the governing coalition, such as the Christian Social Union, are gathering today to clarify their intentions.
