bulgaria’s president united europe has look ahead

On 24th of June, Bulgaria’s President Rosen Plevneliev described the UK’s decision to leave EU as a bad day for the European democracy.

“It is a bad day for Europe, for the European democracy, a bad day for the European economy and the European Union. It is a clear sign of unlearnt lesson from the past. A great power which is a symbol of free trade, a country which is a symbol of liberal democracy decided to isolate back in its national borders on its island, " the President said.

"I deeply regret this result. I am deeply concerned that nationalists and populists triumph in the streets of Europe today, but I am sure that united Europe, with or without UK, must look ahead, " he noted.
