A candidate MP was detained for cultivation of marijuana, BNT sources learned. On November 4, the 47 year old man was detained during a a specialised police operation for cultivating cannabis in the Blue Stones Nature Park in the city of Sliven, southern Bulgaria.
An on-site inspection was carried out, 23 plants, tools and fertilizers were seized..
During a search of his place of residence, the police found a drying room with built-in ventilation, in which there were twigs of cannabis in the process of drying.

21 jars of green leaves were found in the fridge. Boxes with the same content were also found.

Pre-trial proceedings were initiated, which were sent to Sofia City Prosecutor's Office, because it was discovered the man was a candidate MP.
