Bulgaria’s President, Rumen Radev, convened the Consultative Council for National Security (CCNS) on 8th of April to discuss the fight against corruption at the high levels of power.
Today’s meeting was attended by all regular participants except the representatives of the anti-corruption commission, who explained their absence in an open letter to the media.
Prime Minister Boyko Borissov arrived in a visibly good mood for the meeting. The opposition BSP leader Kornelia Ninova said ahe would push for a completely new anti-corruption law. Ataka's chair, Volen Siderov, said he did not see a direct link between the fight against corruption and national security.
