The District Prosecutor's Office in Plovdiv on 29th of August accused the 38-year-old owner of the workshop in the village of Kalugerovo, Pazardzhik area, where tobacco was prepared for the illegal cigarettes factories, which were identified last week by the police in Plovdiv.
The police found 1,700 kg of tobacco In the warehouse. In the course of the investigation, it was established that, as owner of a dairy in the village, the accused organised a workshop in which he cut and processed large quantities of tobacco, which he then delivered to the illegal factories in Gorna Oryahovitsa, Tutrakan and Dupnitsa.
The man is detained for 72 hours. If found guilty, the sentence is between 2 and 8 years of imprisonment.
