The deadline for completion of the construction is 44 months from the signing of the protocol for the opening of the construction site
Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Nikolay Naydenov signed a building permit for section 6 of Hemus Motorway, the ministry said.
It is nearly 32 kilometres long - from the end of the road junction on road III-303 Pavlikeni - Levski to road I-5 Ruse - Veliko Tarnovo, including the road junction at the village of Kutsina.
Construction is currently under way on Sections 2, 3 and 4 of the Hemus Motorway.
For Section 5, which spans 23 kilometres from the end of the Letnitsa interchange (where it crosses Road III-301) to Road III-303, including a road junction, documentation is currently being prepared. Once completed, work on the site can begin.
For Sections 7 and 8, coordination procedures are under way under the Spatial Planning Act, along with technical planning procedures.
In February this year, a construction permit was also issued for Section 9, an 11-kilometre stretch running from kilometre 299, after the Loznitsa interchange (crossing with Road II-49 under the conceptual design), to kilometre 310, marking the beginning of a section already under construction, including the Buhovtsi-South interchange.
All sections of the Hemus Motorway, with the exception of Sections 7 and 8, have approved designs and secured site access.
