The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,652 from 24,891 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on December 8.
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 709,537
The active cases are 98,509.
Of the total, 5,551 patients are in hospitals, 631 of them being in intensive care.
During the past 24 hours:
· 2,690 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 581,749
· 17,216 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 3,447,616.
· 116 Covid-19 related deaths, thus the death toll to date is 29,279.
Of the daily cases, 82.20% had not been vaccinated.
Of those who died, 90.52% had not been vaccinated.
There were 474 new hospitalisations, of which 84.81% had not been vaccinated.
*Those considered to be vaccinated had completed the course of vaccination.
