The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 2,299 from 27,694 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on December 8.
Test positivity rate is slightly above 8%.
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 707,885
The active cases are 99,663.
Of the total, 5,702 patients are in hospitals, 627 of them being in intensive care.
During the past 24 hours:
· 2,016 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 579,059
· 17,802 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 3,412,632.
· 103 Covid-19 related deaths, thus the death toll to date is 29,163.
Of the daily cases, 81.91% had not been vaccinated.
Of those who died, 97.09% had not been vaccinated.
There were 650 new hospitalisations, of which 85.85% had not been vaccinated.
*Those considered to be vaccinated had completed the course of vaccination.
