The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 283 from 3,713 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on October 6.This is 7.6% of the total number of tested persons.
The latest cases were reported in the following districts: Blagoevgrad – 24; Bourgas – 7; Varna – 15; Veliko Turnovo – 2; Vratsa – 2; Gabrovo – 1; Dobrich - 8; Kardzhali – 14; Kyustendil -3; Lovech – 2; Montana - 1; Pazardzhik – 9; Pernik – 8; Pleven – 14; Plovdiv – 40; Razgrad – 8; Rousse – 5; Sliven – 10; Smolyan – 3; Sofia district – 5; Sofia city – 62; Stara Zagora – 19; Targovishte – 10; Haskovo – 4; Shoumen – 6; Yambol –1.
The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic is 21,870.
The active cases 5,837.
Of the total, 930 patients are in hospitals, 59 of them being in intensive care.
Over the past 24 hours, 165 recoveries were registered. The total recoveries are 15,179.
The medical professionals who tested positive for the virus are 1,202, including 14 new cases: 5 doctors; 5 nurses, 1 healthcare assistant and 3 other medical staff.
Ten Covid-19 related deaths were reported over the past 24 hours, thus bringing the total deaths to 854.
