The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 395 from 1,581 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on October 19. This means that 25% of all tested were positive for the virus.
The largest number of new cases were reported in Sofia city (145); Sliven (84); Targovishte (23); Gabrovo (19); Balgoevgrad (17).
The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic is 29,503.
The active cases are 11,574.
Of the total, 1,500 patients are in hospitals, 74 of them being in intensive care.
The recoveries over the 24-hour period are 31. The total recoveries are 16,943.
Eighteen Covid-19 related deaths were reported in the past 24 hours. Total deaths rose to 986.
