The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 552 from 8,850 tests (including 336 confirmed from PCR and 216 from antigen tests), data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on January 16.
The latest cases were registered in the districts as follows:
Blagoevgrad - 20; Bourgas - 84; Varna – 32; Veliko Turnovo - 11; Vidin – 7; Vratsa - 21; Gabrovo – 1; Dobrich - 14; Kardzhali - 3; Kyustendil - 12; Lovech - 3; Montana - 9; Pazardzhik - 5; Pernik - 12; Pleven - 26; Plovdiv - 49; Razgrad - 2; Rousse - 11; Silistra - 7; Sliven - 23; Smolyan – 5; Sofia district - 16; Sofia city – 103; Stara Zagora - 21; Targovishte - 5; Haskovo - 25; Shoumen - 21; Yambol - 4.
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 211,503.
The active cases are 47,016.
Of the total, 3,500 patients are in hospitals, 343 of them being in intensive care.
