The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 587 from 4,320 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on October 13. The positivity rate is 13.5%.
The largest number of new cases was reported in Sofia city (173), Plovdiv (56), Blagoevgrad (51), Varna (35), Stara Zagora (31)
The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic is 24,989.
The active cases are 8,099.
128 recoveries were registered over the past 24 hours. The total recoveries are 15,975.
1,221 patients are in hospitals, 65 of them being in intensive care.
The medical professionals who tested positive for the virus are 1,384, including 19 new cases over the past 24 hours.
Twenty three Covid-19 related deaths were reported over the past 24 hours, thus bringing the total deaths to 900.
