The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 612 from 6,048 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on October 10.
The largest number of new cases was reported in Sofia city (186), Plovdiv (56), Blagoevgrad (54), Varna (29) Bourgas (28) and Targovishte (25).
The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic is 23,871
The active cases are 7,271.
Of the total, 1,131 patients are in hospitals, 58 of them being in intensive care.
150 recoveries were registered over the past 24 hours. The total recoveries are 15,713.
The medical professionals who tested positive for the virus are 1,336, including 44 new cases over the past 24 hours: 15 doctors; 13 nurses, 6 healthcare assistant, 2 paramedics and 8 other medical staff.
Seven Covid-19 related deaths were reported over the past 24 hours, thus bringing the total deaths to 887.
