Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 683 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 683 from 9,917 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on April 8.

Test positivity rate is approximately 7%.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,143,424.

The active cases are 169,884.

Of the total, 1,350 patients are in hospitals, 156 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 2,421 recoveries;

· 1,557 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines;

· 17 Covid-19 related deaths.

Of the daily cases, 68,96% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 82,35% had not been vaccinated.

There were 139 new hospitalisations, of which 84,17% had not been vaccinated.
