The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 69 from 1,278 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on October 5.
The latest cases were reported in the following districts: Blagoevgrad – 7; Bourgas – 4; Gabrovo – 1; Dobrich - 1; Kyustnedil – 1; Montana - 12; Pernik – 5; Plovdiv – 1; Silistra – 1; Smolyan – 1; Sofia district – 4; Sofia city – 24; Stara Zagora – 1; Targovishte – 4; Haskovo – 1; Shoumen – 1.
The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic is 21,587.
The active cases are 5,729.
Of the total, 917 patients are in hospitals, 56 of them being in intensive care.
The total recoveries are 15,014, including 30 over the past 24 hours.
Three Covid-19 related deaths were reported over the past 24 hours, thus bringing the total deaths to 844.
