The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 914 from 6,324 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on October 16.
The largest number of new cases was reported in Sofia (260), Blagoevgrad (91), Plovdiv (85), Bourgas (62), Targovoshte (45) and Shoumen (45).
The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic is 27,507.
The active cases are 9,885.
Of the total, 1,426 patients are in hospitals, 74 of them being in intensive care.
The recoveries over the 24-hour period are 189. The total recoveries are 16,678.
The medical professionals who tested positive for the virus over the past 24 hours are 43.
Fifteen Covid-19 related deaths were reported. Total deaths are 944.
