The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1024 from 4,406 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on October 20.
The largest number of new cases was reported in Sofia city (292); Plovdiv (109); Bourgas (63); Blagoevgrad (60); Varna (56) and Rousse (41).
The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic is 30,527.
The active cases are 12,366.
Of the total, 1,562 patients are in hospitals, 88 of them being in intensive care.
The recoveries over the 24-hour period are 210. The total recoveries are 17,153.
Twenty two Covid-19 related deaths were reported in the past 24 hours. Total deaths rose to 1,008.
