The owner of cyber security company TAD Group, Ivan Todorov,on July 30 was accused of instigating cyber terrorism. He remains in custody and the Specialised Prosecutor's Office will request the Specialised Criminal Court for his remand.
Todorov arrived in Bulgaria on a flight from Istanbul this morning and was detained by border police officers at Sofia Airport.
Todorov was escorted to the MoI Hospital for full medical examination and then taken to the National Investigation building. There, in the presence of two lawyers, he was accused of inciting Kristian Boykov to illegally copy data from the NRA information system and distribute it in the public domain. According to the state prosecution, this caused confusion and fear in the public. The Prosecutor's office thus motivates the charge of inciting terrorism.
