On day 101 (October 17) of protests in downtown Sofia, the demands remain the same - resignation of the government, of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, of Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev, early parliamentary elections, machine and remote voting.

At around 9 pm, the protesters walked on the route to Eagles’ Bridge and temporarily blocked traffic there. Irish MEP Clare Daly also joined the procession to Eagles’ Bridge.

Yesterday Daly was in the coastal town of Pomorie and could not come on the 100th day of the protests. Today, she said she was sad that the government did not want to hear the voice of the protesters and that the government had abused its power.

"I am angry because those in power do not want to hear your demands for more than 100 days, and I am sad because you deserve more. The people in power have abused it and now that needs to change. The battle is not easy, but things have started and nothing will be the same. You will change this country. Bulgarian citizens must win elections now! Geshev must leave," said Clare Daly, MEP for the European United Left.

The starting point of the protests was the same as on previous days – the area of the Triangle of Power. The protesters gathered there at 7.00 pm.

Shortly after that they blocked traffic on Tsar Osvoboditel boulevard.
