The protests in Sofia calling for the resignation of the government and the Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev continue. The 86th day of the protest (October 2) began as usual at 19:00 in the area of Nezavisimost (Independence) square.
On the facade of the building of the National Assembly, the protesters projected videos with TV interviews with the Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and representatives of the ruling power.
The organisers of the protest from the “Poisonous Trio” presented 100 signatures of intellectuals added to the open letter demanding change.
The protest finished with a procession to the building of the public service broadcaster, Bulgarian National Television (BNT), where a rally of members of the civic movement Boets (Bulgarian United for One Goal) and “Justice for Everyone” took place. The demonstrators blocked the exits of the public broadcaster because of the participation of the Justice Minister in the Friday current affairs show “Panorama”.
The political analyst Stoycho Stoychev, who also took part in the programme, was followed by protesters when he left the BNT building. They threw eggs at him.
