The death toll from the fatal bus accident near the town of Svoge in Western Bulgaria rose to 17.
The Prosecutor’s office announced on 27th of August that a 52 year old woman died on the way to hospital on Saturday. She was taken directly to the Department of Forensic Medicine in Sofia. She was identified by her relatives on Sunday night.
Six of the victims of the crash were taken to "St. Anna'' hospital in Sofia. A 52 year old woman is in a life-threatening condition. Two of the injured are at the Military Medical Academy and the driver is in the "Tsaritsa Yoanna" hospital in Sofia, with no risk to his life.
The condition of three of the 6 injured in Pirogov hospital is life-threatening, Prof. Assen Baltov, Director of Emergency Hospital, said. He urged for blood donation, because in Sofia there is a chronic shortage of blood products.
