Deputy Chief Prosecutor: NRA data found in office computer of alleged hacker

Data of the National Revenue Agency (NRA) was found in the office computer of Kristian Boykov (the suspect who was arrested for the NRA hacker attack), Deputy Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev said in an exclusive interview for BNT on July 23. A few days before the leaked NRA information was disseminated, Boykov was looking for information, through the personal identity number, for Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov, MP Delyan Peevsky and MEP Emil Radev. According to Ivan Geshev, Kristian Boykov is a “mace”, and the company he works for deals with cyber blackmail.

The computers seized from the office and home of Kristian Boykov were encrypted with the best software protection. The company refused to provide the key to decrypt them.

Information from 106 databases, identical to those stored in the NRA's information system, was found In the decrypted computer. According to the prosecutor's office, some of them are the original copies of those already sent to the media earlier this week.

The rest is the data, which a letter by a person describing himself as "anonymous Russian hacker", says will be subject to future dissemination. According to Ivan Geshev, the investigative version is that Kristian Boykov is allegedly an implementer, and those who instructed him are above him in the hierarchy of the company in which he works.

The Prosecutor’s office say that charges may be pressed against other people involved in the case.
