The construction of a second ski lift in Bulgaria's reosrt of Bansko will make it easier for tourists to reach the ski areas, Bulgaria’s Deputy Prime Minister Valeri Simeonov said on 20th of November at a briefing in the Council of Ministers after a round table on the proposal of the mayor of Bansko Municipality Georgi Ikonomov to complete the procedure for amendments to the current Pirin National Park Management Plan.
All of us were united around the general view that the problem with the large queues at the base of the lift, which takes tourists up to the ski areas, should not be continued in any way.
This is a very serious issue that needs to be resolved sooner rather than later. The construction of a second lift, which is the main purpose of these changes, will make it easier for tourists to reach the ski areas, Deputy Prime Minister Valeri Simeonov said.
The meeting also discussed the proposal to prepare a draft for giving a consent for signing of an additional agreement to amend the concession contract for "Ski zone with a center in the town of Bansko".
