Her candidacy was proposed after a public hearing in the Ombudsman’s Office on 13th of January. Among the 5 candidates, nominated by NGOs, Diana Kovatcheva was ranked first with 22 points. She was nominated by “Transparency International”.
Diana Kovacheva holds a degree in law and an MA degree in European Union law.
She also did a doctorate in International Law and International Relations and has specialised in the field of human rights.
