The official campaign for the European Parliament elections starts on 25th April. Bulgaria’s President Rosen Plevneliev made a statement addressing the Bulgarian voters and politicians, who will participate in the elections scheduled for 25th May.
17 seats are allocated to the Bulgarian MEPs in the European Parliament. 15 parties, 6 coalitions and 3 independent candidates will compete in the elections.
Publishing and broadcasting of anonymous materials is banned during the one month campaign period.
Media are obliged to relevantly indicate in campaign-related media coverages if the published or broadcast material is paid and that it is published or broadcast within the frames of the campaign.
All media have to publish the agreements signed with the political powers and independent candidates on the media websites.
