Bulgaria’s Central Election Commission (CEC) on November 16 announced the final results of the first round of the presidential election with 100% processed voting protocols.
On Sunday, November 21, the presidential candidates Rumen Radev - Iliana Yotova, who received 49.41% support, and Anastas Gerdzhikov - Nevyana Miteva with 22.82% will compete in the runoff.
The reason for the need for a runoff is the low turnout in the first round of the presidential elections.
On Thursday, November 18, at 8 pm, Bulgarian National Television, will broadcast the only debate between the two presidential candidates, Rumen Radev and Anastas Gerdzhikov. The host will be Adelina Radeva.
The debate will be broadcast live on BNT1 and BNT4. The public service broadcaster will be the only media, where Ruemn Radev and Anastas Gerdzhikov will meet for a live debate ahead of the second round of the presidential elections, scheduled for Sunday, November 21.
