Fuel prices in Bulgaria are expected to increase by between 3 and 6%
Retail prices of fuel is possisble to increase by between 5 and 10% per litre over the next few days, analysts predict. This will happen if the Saudi crisis, after the drone attack, continues.
It is still difficult for even international analysts to say exactly how much the price of oil will increase. It accounts for more than a third of the final retail price of petrol and diesel. Thus, in practice, the increase in Bulgaria will be reflected by between 3 and 6%, which means that given the current prices, type A 95 petrol would reach BGN 2.34, while the diesel would exceed BGN 2.40.
Saudi Arabia generates about 5% of the world’s crude oil. Reducing supply affects the entire nternational market. Demand remains the same with less supply, leading to higher prices. Although mostly Russian fuel is used in Bulgaria, its prices will also be affected.
Most of the international analysts' forecasts are not optimistic. Expectations are that the price per barrel of crude oil mayl exceed $ 100, at best, $ 90, which means that the prices of petrol and diesel in our country will continue to rise until the end of the year.
