Although almost half of the citizens approve of Jordanka Fandakova's work as Mayor of Sofiaр, the other 56% of them would rather have a new governor of the capital city. This is shown by a sociological inquiry conducted by Gallup International Agency on 5 -9 Agust 2019 among 802 people.
According to the inquiry those who would vote for the National Ombudsman Maya Manolova, if she runs for Mayor, slightly prevail over the number of those who would support nowadays' mayor Jordanka Fandakova.
Poor infrastructure, overbuilding and air pollution in the city are among the crucial problems pointed out by the people interviewed. Nevertheless most of them confess that the city offers a lot of positive social and economic opportunities.
While 46 per cent of the interviewed are not satisfied with Sofia's development some 18 per cent determine it as good or very good.
