Around midday on 23rd of November, the governments of Bulgaria and Macedonia began their first joint meeting which was agreed on 1st of August at the signing of the Friendship, Good Neighbourly Relations and Cooperation Treaty.
Nine agreements for bilateral cooperation in almost all areas of politics and economy are expected to be signed. A draft of one of them, related to the reduction of roaming tariffs between the two countries was adopted on 22nd of November.
The Prime Ministers of Bulgaria and Macedonia, Boyko Borissov and Zoran Zaev, presented wreaths at the monument to the tragically killed Macedonian President Boris Trajkovski.
The two held a one-to one meeting. Later, there will be a joint press conference of the two PMs and the governments. Bulgaria’s Minister of Defence will meet the Bulgarian community in Strumica, which is one of the most developing cities in Macedonia and in which Zoran Zaev served as a Mayor for three terms in office.
