The first regular meeting of the Council of Ministers has ended, Lena Borislavova, head of the office of Prime Minister Kiril Petkov, told media on December 16.
It was decided to conduct an awareness campaign on the benefits and harms of Covid-19 vaccines, as well as to take measures to introduce a green certificate and an alternative opportunity for the right to work without a green certificate.
Today, Prime Minister Kiril Petkov will sign an order for a mandatory green certificate for entry in the building of the Council of Ministers. A vaccination centre will be opened. The goal is administration without Covid-19.
Testing conditions for people without a certificate will also be provided, as well as opportunities for remote working.
The meeting decided to hold a joint meeting with Sofia Mayor, Yordanka Fandakova, on the topic of why there are unspent funds for the construction of kindergartens and schools, Borislavova said.
Another decision was to allocate part of the state reserve with mineral water for Smolyan and Blagoevgrad regions, (Southwestern Bulgaria), which have been having problems with water supply for five days now after the torrential rains.
The gratuitous provision of drinking water will help to overcome the consequences of the state of emergency situattion in Smolyan and Blagoevgrad districts, respectively in the municipalities of Nedelino, Madan, Borino, Chepelare, Simitli, Kresna, Petrich and Garmen.
Regarding the moratorium on electricity prices, meetings with experts have already begun in order to lower the price of electricity, Borislavova added.
"After March 31, we do not plan any shock increase in prices," she said in response to a journalist's question. We are working on how to control the price in the long run without it being at the expense of the electricity companies, Borislavova specified.
The decision of the Prosecutor's office not to initiate pre-trial proceedings for the declaration of dual citizenship of Kiril Petkov is proof of the thesis of "We Continue the Change" from the very beginning that there is no guilt, added Borislavova.
