Hacker attack against Commission for Personal Data Protection was prevented

A hacker attack against the Commission for Personal Data Protection was prevented this morning, the Chair of the Commssion Ventsislav Karadzhov told the Bulgarian National Televison on July 22. The attempt was made through the wireless Wi-Fi network of the commission. The Directorate for Combatting Orgaised Crime was notified about the attempted hacker attack.

Ventsislav Karadzhov said that the good thing was that the system managed to stop this hacking attempt at the commission’s system. But to me it is disturbing that the attempt was made immediately after the commission launched a check into the hacker attack on the National Revenue Agency. Somebody is trying to question the Commission's expertise, he added.
