Trees have fallen onto 4 cars in Pamporovo winter resort during torrential rain and strong winds in South Bulgarian district of Smolyan on January 11.
There are no injured people.
Emergency teams are removing the fallen trees.
The incident occurred in the early hours on January 11, about 4:00 am. Initially one tree fell on a car of a guest in a hotel in the resort. While fire fighters were cutting the tree to remove it from the vehicle, two more trees fell and smashed other cars.
Code orange weather alert has been issued for the whole district. The precipitation is expected to reach 55 litres per square metre.
The heavy rain caused leakage in the roof of the building of the threatre in the city of Smolyan.
There was power outage in the village of Shiroka Laka, but the electricity supply was restored. The rivers have been cleaned and for the time being there is nor sisk of floodings in the area.
