Heavy traffic and long queues at the checkpoints at Bulgaria’s border with Romania and Turkey wеre reported on 24th of August. On the Danube Bridge – Vidin, the traffic of lorries is intensive at exit, and on the Danube Bridge - Rousse the trasfic is busy with cars in both directions.
The reason is that many Turkish citizens return to the European countries. Bulgarian emigrants to Turkey travel back this weekend after holidays spent in Bulgaria for Eid.
On the Bulgarian-Turkish border in Malko Turnovo, traffic is intensive in both directions. There is no queues of cars on the border with Serbia, Greece and Macedonia, Border Police reported.
