Bulgaria’s border authorities at Kapitan Andreevo check point seized 17 kg of heroin with a black market value of more than BGN 1 million. The drug was found in a passenger car concealed in a large double-bottomed portable fridge bag.
A 44-year-old British citizen of Iraqi descent was arrested. The heroin was intended for Western Europe and had to be handed over on the territory of Bulgaria to a refugee from Iran residing in Germany.
