Hospitals may struggle with shortage of oxygen in the next days, the biggest supplier of medical oxygen in Bulgaria warned on October 29.
Due to the increased consumption in the intensive care units, the company finds it difficult to provide the necessary quantities.
According to them, for several months it has not been possible to import from abroad. Therefore, the company insists on the need to ban the export of oxygen from the country, as well as to prioritize its delivery to hospitals.
The Ministry of Health stated that at the moment the hospitals have sufficient amounts of medical oxygen, and the hospitals themselves negotiate with the manufacturing companies.
