The 43rd edition of Sofia International Book Fair was opened on 8th of December in the National Palace of Culture. It is organized by the Bulgarian Book Association. The programme includes over 80 events: presentation of books and meetings with authors. Over 200 publishing houses from Bulgaria and abroad will be presented at the book fair. It will run until 13th of December.
In addition to the opportunity to buy a book with a discount or to get an autograph, the forum will also present book-to-film adaptations.
The fair will also include an exhibition of book illustrations.
The working hours of the stalls is from 10:00 to 20:00.
For third consecutive year, Sofia International Literature Festival will be held within Sofia International Book Fair. This year’s edition of Sofia International Literary Festival is devoted to the Iberian Peninsula and will introduce the Bulgarian audiences to some of the most important writers of Spain and Portugal.
As part of the tradition, Sofia international Book Fair is also the host of the “Golden Lion” award ceremony for best publishing project.
