On 18th of December, Bulgaria’s capital Sofia will be the host of an International Tourism Film Festival. The event is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Bulgarian cinema and 120th anniversary of the Bulgarian tourism.
The competition programme includes 10 tourism films from Bulgaria and Greece, representing ther beauty and tourist attractions of the two countries. The films will be screened in vehicles mostly used by tourists. The best film in the competition will be determined by the vote of the viewers.
Petar Kadiev, Deputy Chairperson of the Culture and Media Committee in Bulgaria’s Parliament says that this will be a travelling film festival for tourists. The festival programme will run for 4 hours and the requirement is each film to be with maximum duration of 30 minutes, he explained.
