The New Year’s rock concert, which used to be held in the Bulgarian Black Sea town of Kavarna will be moved to the city of Plovdiv.
The famous Norwegian musician, Jorn Lande, will meet 2016 at the centre of the South Bulgarian city of Plovdiv.
The newly elected Mayor of Kavarna changed the tradition of meeting New Year in Kavarna with rock event.
Now fans from across the country will get together under the hills of Plovdiv, says the former Mayor of Kavarna, Tsonko Tsonev, well known for his love for rock and metal music. He introduced the tradition, which turned Kavarna in the rock capital of Bulgaria.
The fact that the event will take place in Plovdiv is nice and noble, Tsonev says. Many rockers will come, he believes and adds that Plovdiv will become a favourate place for rockers, because it shows rock cannot be cancelled.
Jorn Lande will sing together with a Bulgarian group - Nikolo Kotsev’s “Kikimora”. The two musicians worked jointly on several projects.
Fans will have the opportunity to enjoy original music as well as world rock classic. Many groups will play in the warm-up show, which s will start at midday on 31st of December.
