Kozloduy NPP Unit 6 shut down for planned repairs

Unit 6 of Kozloduy nuclear power plant will be temporarily shut down from tomorrow, September 24, for annual scheduled maintenance, the plant annpunced..

The necessary resources, spare parts and a sufficient number of qualified personnel have been secured for the upcoming activities.

The aim is to ensure safe operation of the nuclear facilities and guarantee reliable and stable energy supplies during the autumn-winter period.

The reactor will be refueled with fresh nuclear fuel for the new fuel campaign and maintenance of the unit's equipment will be carried out. The refurbishment of Unit 6 will be completed at the end of October.
