Lidiya Ganeva won the privilege to represent Bulgaria at the 2016 Junior Eurovision song contest, which will be held in Malta.
The 10 year old Lydia was chosen by a combination of 50% public televote and 50% professional jury vote. Lydia managed to win the hearts of the jury for her great performance. She combines amazing voice quality and great charisma.
On 11th of June, at the live final of Bulgaria’s national selection show named “The Children of Bulgaria are Super", Lidiya performed the songs: “Who’s Loving You” (Michael Jackson) and “Rapsodia” (Roberta).
Only 5 out of 15 candidates from the national selection process competed at the final, each singing two songs in two different sets. The Bulgarian viewers cast their votes via SMS in two different voting windows of 15 minutes which opened immediately after each set of songs.
The televoting results were combined with the votes from the jury at the end of the show. The winner was the one who collected the highest amount of points.
The final ranking is as follows:
