TIR lorry overturned on Struma motorway in the morning on 17th of July causing closure of traffic for 3 hours. The driver has not been injured.
The road accident occurred after the tunnel near the town of Kocharinovo. The vehicle was in the right lane when the driver most likely did not feel well and lost control of the steer.
He hit the wall of the tunnel and after exit the tunnel went into the roadside. The lorry was travelling from Italy to Stara Zagora, carrying a concrete mixer.
The driver was transported to Blagoevgrad hospital, where he was examined. He has no fractures. According to the driver of the other lorry, with which they were travelling in one direction, the two drivers had a 30 minutes rest before the accident. The other driver explained that his colleague most likely did not feel well because of the hot weather.
