MAKE A WISH: GEMINID METEOR SHOWER PEAKS TONIGHT

The Geminid meteor shower will reach its maximum rate of activity on 14th December 2015. As many as 120 shooting stars will streak across the night sky every hour.

Spectators in Bulgaria will have the chance to see the meteor shower around 20.00 Bulgarian local time.

If there are good viewing conditions and with the Moon absent from the sky, the spectacular light show will be visible in the eastern horizon. Bulgarian Academy of Sciences announces that the Moon will rise at 20:11 and only a small fraction of its disk will be illuminated.
