Police inspections continue as part of the daily stepped up road traffic checks. From Friday to Sunday, the police teams checked 13,350 vehicles and 18,195 people. A total of 11,078 violations have been identified, of which 3,678 were for speeding. 5,500 tickets and 1,900 acts for established administrative violations were issued, the Ministry of Interior announced on 27th of August.
152 driving licenses were withdrawn for unpaid liabilities under the Road Traffic Act. During the inspections, a total of 694 electronic tickets were issued.
