MPs postpone vote on three ministerial resignations

The vote on the resignations of the three ministers Valentin Radev, Ivaylo Moskovski and Nikolay Nankov and appointment of their replacements was postponed as an item on the agenda of 13^th of September plenary sitting in Parliament.

The postponement was proposed by the Speaker of the Parliament, Tsveta Karayancheva, and the reason was President rjumen Radev not having signed a decree for the release of Mladen Marinov from the post of the chief secretary of the Interior Ministry.

Mladen Marinov was proposed by Prime Minister Boyko Borisov for Minister of the Interior.

The postponement was approved by 121 votes in favour and 22 votes against. Tsveta Karayancheva added that if the President signes a decree by the end of the day, the resignations and new appointments of Cabinet ministers will be voted on.

A little later, the Presidency announced that the head of state will sign the Decree as soon as he returns from Riga (Latvia), where he participates in the meeting of the heads of states from the Arayolush group.

Valentin Radev, Moskovski and Nankov submitted their resignations on 31st of August after the fatal bus crash near svoge on 25th of august in which 17 people died

On 10th of September, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said that he nominated Deputy Economy Minister Alexander Manolev to become Transport Minister, Interior Ministry chief secretary Mladen Marinov to become Minister of interior and Deputy Regional Development Minister Petya Avramova to be promoted to minister..
