A key meeting with the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the leader of Movement of Rights and Freedoms party (MRF) Mustafa Karadayi was held on August 2, MRF press centre reported.
The meeting was attended by Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and MRF Deputy Chairman Ahmed Ahmedov. Karadayi and Ahmedov are on a visit to Turkey.
Mustafa Karadayi stressed that Bulgaria is facing elections in October. On Monday, President Rumen Radev scheduled the parliamentary vote for 2 October, 2022.
The elections will pass, but the harsh winter will come, Mustafa Karadayi told President Erdogan.
During the talks between Erdogan and Karadayı, the question was raised how Turkey can be useful to Bulgaria in these difficult and hard times. The two also discussed the relations between Bulgaria and Turkey in the context of energy and natural gas.
MRF leader Mustafa Karadayi and MRF deputy chairman ,Ahmed Ahmedov, had a series of meetings.
On Sunday, Karadayi and Ahmedov attended the funeral of the mother of Faik Öztrak, deputy chairman and spokesman of the Republican People's Party (CHP) in Turkey. The MRF leader laid a wreath on behalf of MRF.

Karadayi also held talks with the Chairman of the Republican People's Party (CHP) in Turkey, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, as well as with the Mayor of a large municipality in Ankara, Mansur Yavş.
On Monday, Mustafa Karadayi and Ahmed Ahmedov also held a meeting with Bulgarian citizens in Turkey in connection with the upcoming early parliamentary elections. It was attended by the representatives of the MRF for the Thrace region - Guner Cetin, for the Marmara region - Lutvi Özgür, for the Bursa region - Taner Çaus, for the Izmir region - Ismail Vatansever, and for the Istanbul region - Fahri Vatansever. The meeting was attended by over 100 MRF supporters.

Mustafa Karadayi, President of the MRF, thanked the members and supporters of the MRF who supported the party in all elections in 2021.
The leader recalled that months ago, at an iftar dinner in Istanbul, he warned that Bulgaria was facing snap elections as it was governed by the weakest and most incompetent government in the democratic history of Bulgaria. Let Bayram pass and let us prepare for elections, they will happen sooner or later, Karadayi said then. And so the president issued a decree for early parliamentary elections , which will be held on October 2. And it happened, the MRF chairman said now.
"Geopolitically we are going through difficult times. The former government made many mistakes. Especially in the gas and energy sector. And most of the solutions to these problems go through Turkey," Mustafa Karadayi added.
