Increased traffic of cargo vehicles to Turkiye is the reason for the kilometre-long queue of lorries at Giurgiu border crossing. During the past twenty-four hours, 1,511 lorries entered Bulgaria, mainly travelling from Ukraine to our southern neighbour.
At the same time, the queue of lorries leaving Bulgaria is 3 kilometres long. In the past 24 hours, 1,565 lorries have passed through the Danube Bridge check point in the direction of Western Europe.
For the convenience of travellers, the Romanian Border Police has published in real time how long it takes to exit their country at: www.politiadefrontiera.ro/ro/traficonline/.
