Netherlands, British Virgin Islands and Russia are the largest foreign investors to Bulgaria, according to data of the Bulgarian National Bank.
The largest foreign direct investments to Bulgaria for the first two months of 2014 were from Netherlands, amounting to 48.7 million euro, followed by British Virgin Islands, popular in the world for its offshore jurisdiction.
BVI’s capital invested in the Bulgarian economy for the period January-February 2014 amounted to 18.6 million euro.
The third largest foreign investor is Russia, which invested 10.8 million euro in Bulgaria.
