NFSB stays in government, but wants change in manner of governing and relations

The National Executive Council of NFSB calls for a decisive change in the manner of management and coalition relations among the government partners on the part of the Prime Minister and GERB party. This was announced by the leader of NFSB party and Deputy Prime Minister Valeri Simeonov, who read a statement from the three-day meeting of the NFSB leadership. (NFSB is a member of the United Patriots alliance, which is a governing coalition minority partner.)

The party describes as unsatisfactory the pace at which the signed governance programme is implemented. There are political appointments behind the back of NFSB, there is a lack of normal working dialogue in the small and the big coalition, according to NFSB. The United Patriots' parliamentary group is a mechanical assembly of MPs of three parties, practically without functioning leadership, the statement said.

We want to change the dialogue in the big coalition and we want to make changes in our coalition, said Valeri Simeonov.

NFSB confirmed that they would vote against the resignation of the Ministers of Interior, of the Transport, and of Regional Development.

In the event of a rejection of the proposals made and a continuing boycott of the NFSB's legislative initiatives, the party will discuss the convening of a National Political Council to discuss the termination of participation in the government, the statement said.
