On 19 September 378 families will receive the aid of 375 BGN under the "Social Assistance". This was announced at a briefing in the village of Bogdan by Plovdiv Regional Governor Angel Stoev.
In the three flood-affected villages the power supply has been restored to 100%, the only thing left is to switch on the street lights, but this cannot happen quickly as the infrastructure itself has been destroyed. The water supply has been restored to 50%. And the doctors' offices in the three villages are now open. All streets, yards and houses are completely disinfected.
Between 5 and 8 heavy machines are working on the river beds of the three villages. The volunteers will be directed to help the people in Karavelovo and Bogdan, the Plovdiv district governor said.
He stressed that the state allocates more than 10 million lBGN through the Interdepartmental Commission for Reconstruction and Assistance to the Council of Ministers. These funds will be used to design and build new bridges, clear riverbeds, and rebuild streets.
About 1,000 volunteers are expected in the three villages over the weekend.
